Keyword

Some commands (e.g. HEADERMOD, STATUS) use positionally independent TAG=VALUE syntax. Tags are explained in the explain files of commands that support this feature.

NeXtMidas summarizes the commands it recognizes in a text dictionary. The dictionary format supports keyword-named-parameters as a general feature of the language. The NeXtMidas dictionary is commands.cnf. As the central repository for parameter names and default values, the NeXtMidas command dictionary eliminates the need to search primitive source code to determine command-specific conventions.
