NeXtMidas User's Guide: X-Midas RMIF

X-Midas RMIF

The NeXtMidas SYS option tree includes necessary commands for X-Midas to use the Remote Midas InterFace (RMIF). RMIF provides a standard interface for NeXtMidas and X-Midas to share data (see RMIF for more details).

To use the X-Midas components of the NeXtMidas SYS option tree, you need to add the NeXtMidas SYS option tree to the X-Midas path:

X-Midas> xmopt nxm $NMROOT/nxm/sys
X-Midas> xmpath +nxm
X-Midas> xmbopt nxm

This compiles the X-Midas side of RMIF and the SD360 demo. Comparing NeXtMidas and X-Midas versions of the SD360 macro is probably the best way to notice the macro differences between the two systems. The baseline distribution contains both versions of the SD360 macro in the $NMROOT/nxm/sys/mcr directory (sd360.mm for NeXtMidas and sd360.txt for X-Midas).
