Overall File Structure

NeXtMidas utilizes the traditional Midas BLUE file format. The internal header format is extended to support more sophisticated operations such as piping, and more flexible file organizations such as detached and extended headers. The files are identified by the characters BLUE at the start of the header. For more details on modifying or creating a Midas file header, go to the NeXtMidas command prompt and look at EXPLAIN HEADERMOD.
