One-Shot

In one-shot mode, you enter NeXtMidas commands at the operating system prompt after running the nmstart script to set up the NeXtMidas environment. Precede the actual command with "nm" so the operating system knows to deliver the command to NeXtMidas for execution. For example, if you'd like to request a menu of NeXtMidas commands in one-shot mode, don't start the shell explicitly, but instead type

>nm menu

in response to an operating system prompt.

The most important use of one-shot mode is invoking isolated NeXtMidas commands from an operating system script.
