Library NeXtMidas (LIBNXM)

LIBNXM supports basic Midas BLUE file manipulation as well as access to NeXtMidas non-graphical Java library code.

The jar file containing NeXtMidas non-graphical Java library code is reduced from ~6.0MB to ~2.5MB.

Preparing NeXtMidas for a Non-Graphical Build With Jar Footprint Reduction

Run the following to eliminate graphical functionality and reduce third-party jar dependencies:

cd <location-of-nmroot>
libnxm/make-libnxm.sh

NOTE: By default, the make-libnxm script keeps the bcel jar dependencies (kvpair) code and eliminates the commons-net jar dependencies (nftp).
There is the option to override these settings. If desired, add one or both of these optional arguments to this script: nkvpair ftp

WARNING: The make-libnxm script can only be run once on a given copy of NeXtMidas since it eliminates packages and files from the NeXtMidas baseline. It is recommended to make a backup copy of NeXtMidas before running this script.

Building NeXtMidas (After Running The LIBNXM Script Above)
With nm
setenv NMROOT `pwd`
source $NMROOT/os/unix/nmstart
nm make code sys /bldtypes=native # Only if using native code
nm make jars /nodocs /notest
With gradle (full restructure)
cd $NMROOT
./gradle/convertgradle.sh
With gradle (using softlinks)
cd $NMROOT
./gradle/linkgradle.sh
gradle clean build -x test
