Adjunct Header

The second 256-byte section of the header varies with file type. The file type is the generic file structure. NeXtMidas supports homogeneous one-dimensional data (Type 1000), homogeneous two-dimensional data (Type 2000), record data (Type 3000), multiple key=value record data (Type 4000), record-oriented structures (Type 5000), and an extended Type 3000 format (Type 6000). For each of these file types, additional header information describes further structure details (as needed) and how file elements correspond to the real world.
