X-Midas Users Take Note:
Each primitive running in an X-Midas pipe section runs as a different system process and uses shared memory sections to share data. In NeXtMidas, commands in a pipe section run in separate threads within the same JVM. This allows the NeXtMidas primitives to communicate directly with each other and avoids the need for shared memory sections.
