  • General file categories:
    Frame based Includes Type 1000 and Type 2000 files.
    Record based Includes Type 3000, Type 5000, and CSV files.
    Free form Includes most XML files.
  • The standard way of transferring data depends on the file type:
    Frame based Data buffer.
    Record based Table
    Free form Special case, usually custom built (not covered in this module).
