The NMD command is an OS command provided after nmstart
has been run.
NMD provides an easy way to navigate the directories in an option tree.
All you need to provide is the area and option and NeXtMidas will take care of
figuring out which directory that is and will change to that directory.
$ nmd lib ucl
/home/student/nxm230/nxm/ucl/lib
NMD works the same on all operating systems.
It is common to see arguments in area-then-option order. This matches what is done
in X-Midas and allows default values to be provided for the option tree name.
NMD also provides an easy way to change into one of the local AUX
directories by using AUX=<AUX_NAME> (Since NeXtMidas 2.3.1).
$ nmd AUX=DAT
/home/student/nxm230/nxm/sys/dat
X-Midas Users Take Note:
The X-Midas counterpart to NMD is XMD. The name difference
allows both to be used on systems that have both NeXtMidas and X-Midas running.
