  • The Manual Way:
    • Often it is easiest to create an option tree manually. This provides more flexibility than is available with OPTION/CREATE.
      1. Make the directory structure required. It may look like this:
        /home/student/myopt123
          +- nxm
              +- myopt
                   +- cfg
                   +- prim
                   +- mcr
                   +- :
You do not need to include any directories you don't intend to use.
      2. Copy the template commands.cnf file from $NMROOT/nxm/sys/cfg/commands.template and place it in the cfg area of your new option tree.
      3. Use the OPTION command to tell NeXtMidas where the option tree is located.
        nM> option myopt /home/student/myopt123/nxm/myopt
      4. That's it.
