  • The BUILDOPT Command:
    • The BUILDOPT command builds an option tree.
      • Individual option trees can provide their own buildopt.mm macro if they require special compilation steps. (This is rare.)
      • This is explained in detail in the BUILDOPT;SYS explain file.
    • In NeXtMidas, BUILDOPT is never called directly.
      • The MAKE command will call an option-tree specific buildopt.mm when required.
X-Midas Users Take Note:
The BUILDOPT command is the most common way of building option trees in X-Midas. This is because many X-Midas option trees require special compilation options. In general most NeXtMidas option trees do not require special compilation options unless they contain X-Midas host primitives that will be run from NeXtMidas.
