  • Shared functions between X-Midas and NeXtMidas:
    Pipes
Can use X-Midas pipes from NeXtMidas.
Note that the names of any X-Midas pipes will need to be prefixed with xmpipe: inside NeXtMidas.
    X-Midas> nm plot xmpipe:_waveb
    Results
X-Midas results are accessible in NeXtMidas via the XM. table.
    In X-Midas:
    X-Midas> res temp 123.0
    In NeXtMidas:
    nM> res/global xm.temp
    D: XM.TEMP = 123.0
    AUX List
NeXtMidas uses the X-Midas AUX list.
Note that all AUX names must be numeric.
Note that all AUX entries are bound by X-Midas file name limits (80-character-max, lower-case-only, local-disk-only).
    Messages
Can pass messages between X-Midas and NeXtMidas.
    (More details about this later.)
    Option Trees
X-Midas option tree imported into NeXtMidas when nm/on/bg/id=999 is run.
