  • Listing Files in NeXtMidas:
    • Listing files is a common Midas operation. NeXtMidas provides three primitives for textually or graphically listing a file:
      DATALIST
      A textual tool for dumping file data to the screen.
      LIST
      A Java Abstract Windowing Toolkit (AWT) based graphical tool.
      Being replaced by the "new and improved" LIST2.
      LIST2
      A Java Swing based graphical tool.
X-Midas Users Take Note:
The LIST2 command is similar to the XDATALIST in X-Midas. The NeXtMidas DATALIST is similar to the DATALIST command in X-Midas.
